In the quiet
A fist beats at the centre of me,
Breaths quick, tight,
Knotted, weigh down
This chest...

Before the heart slide...

A shackled core
Fuels itself on whispers of hope,
Washes away
Patterns of silence,
Becoming stone...

Before the heart slide...

Fiercely strong,
A dream...sweet awakenings,
Seedlings emerging
Bathed in the purest glow of dawn,
Held within the moment...
