Rationale

Abstract sculpture, sometimes seemingly void of substance and not as easily understood as figurative art, is the reason for the sculpture’s accompanying words.

The words describe that specific moment I moved into a work, helping situate the viewer and giving a point of reference.

It is a personal world of visions and emotions.

There are no mysterious connections to be analysed. Imagination will always have free reign, over tactile form.

Brancusi said ‘Art gives birth to ideas, it does not represent them’.
